NEWS AND UPDATES
June 2026
Happy Summer!
We’ve had a very full spring with lots of fun local shows in the valley and beyond. We are so grateful to each of you for continuing to support live music.
We’re really enjoying the seasonal changes around us in our new home. The silver maple tree in our yard has peaked to max foliage, the pileated woodpeckers are making good work of helping the nearby tree stump to decompose quickly, and the rhododendrons we planted a few months back have their first signs of new growth. Such welcome sights after a very cold and harsh winter in the valley.
We have one big show coming up before we take a break for the month of July to shift our focus to a few side projects. We hope you’ll join us on June 27th for this special night in Staunton to help raise funds for the Arcadia Project. They are restoring an old movie theater and turning it into a concert/event/film space with educational classrooms. It’s been a long time coming and we’re really excited to see them get this off the ground. Tickets and more details are below.
Our most up-to-date schedule is posted below with more shows TBA.

TOUR DATES
ABOUT
Virginia natives, Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and released their newest album, Here in the Mountains, in August 2024 - a batch of songs written and inspired by the origin story of a close friend.
Throughout their two-decade partnership, the Dewdrops have highlighted the power and intimacy of two voices and two instruments in both live performances and recordings. Laura and Kagey constantly push the boundaries of their experimental folk sound—blending electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo—while weaving in tight vocal harmonies. They remain committed to deepening their understanding of the world through songwriting and music.
No Depression says of their 2022 album, Light Behind Light, “The Honey Dewdrops have a way of filling their songs with humanity, using their beautiful playing and harmonies to emphasize what connects us all.”
